Multidisciplinary artist. Bolivia. 1970
With more than thirty years of experience, her practice brings together a range of media, from embroidery and collage to painting and drawing, to explore the private sphere and everyday life as sensitive territories shaped by notions of identity. From the body–territory perspective developed by Lorena Cabnal, her work understands the body as the primary site of struggle and defense, inseparable from the land-territory.
She has participated in exhibitions and biennials such as Contextile, Guimarães, Portugal (2026); Casa de América, Madrid, Spain (2025); Bienal Sur, Tarija, Bolivia (2025); X Biennial of contemporary textile art, Miami, USA (2022); El Cambio, Art Museum of the Americas, Washington, USA (2012); Último libro, Luis Camnitzer open call, Zurich, Switzerland (2008); Cuenca Biennial, Ecuador (2007), among others, including the Mercosur Biennials (2001, 1999, 1997).
Her work is part of collections such as the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA), California, USA; and in Bolivia, the Museo Nacional de Arte, Museo Tambo Quirquincho, Fundación Patiño, as well as institutional holdings and private collections across Latin America.
